Saracens academy three-quarter Nathan Earle scored his first senior try for the club against the Scarlets, as the 18 year-old crossed for Saracens fifth try in the 72nd minute.
“I didn’t have to do too much really – I just had to be on the end and make sure I didn’t drop it!” said Earle.
“It was a great cut out pass from Nils and Ranno did well to draw the defender and it was pretty simple for me from there. I suppose it was like scoring any other try, but it was great to score my first senior try at Allianz Park”.
Earle was one of a host of Saracens younger players who have benefited from exposure in the LV=Cup, and the England U20 full-back says he enjoyed his 20 minute cameo after he replaced James Short on the left wing.
“I was really happy with my time out on the pitch” he explained.
“There was a lot of space out there, and I got my hands on the ball quite often, and with the nature of the game at the time I came on we were trying to run most things so yeah, I really enjoyed it”.
