2015%2f16 Premiership fixtures announced


The fixtures for the 2015/16 Aviva Premiership have been announced at today's official season launch from London’s BT Tower.

Notable dates include Saracens’ season opener against Sale Sharks on Saturday October 17, a trip to Twickenham for the London Double Header in round five against Worcester Warriors on November 28 and another Wembley clash against Harlequins on April 16.

Saracens will begin their defence of the Aviva Premiership title at Allianz Park, with a home clash against Sale Sharks on Saturday October 17. The game will kick-off at 14h00 with the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals taking place later that day at Twickenham (kick-off 16h00) and the Millennium Stadium (kick-off 20h00), respectively.

A week later Mark McCall’s side will travel to the West Country to face Gloucester Rugby at Kingsholm on Friday evening, live on BT Sport. In round three, Saracens will welcome a new-look London Irish side to north London on Saturday October 31, with the game kicking off at 13h00 on the day of the World Cup final.  Round four sees Saracens travel to Franklin’s Gardens to face Northampton Saints.

The Aviva Premiership will then takes a two week break as Saracens head into European Champions Cup action.

After Sarries European excursions the reigning Premiership champions will return to Twickenham Stadium for the first time since the club’s Premiership win to face newly-promoted Worcester Warriors in the London Double Header on Saturday November 26, kick-off 15h15.

A week later Saracens travel up to Kingston Park to face the Newcastle Falcons in round six of the Aviva Premiership before a Champions Cup fortnight.

A busy festive period sees the Allianz Park outfit travel to Coventry just after Christmas to face Wasps in round seven, before welcoming Leicester Tigers to north London in the New Year.

After Saracens’ trip to The Stoop to take on Harlequins in round nine, the Aviva Premiership will once again take a break for the European Champions Cup for two weeks.

As January draws to a close, Saracens tackle Bath Rugby at Allianz Park in a repeat of last season’s Aviva Premiership Final. In February, Saracens travel to Exeter Chiefs in round 11, before home games against Wasps and Gloucester Rugby, plus an away trip to Sale Sharks in round 14.

In round 15 Saracens face Northampton Saints at Allianz Park, before away trips to London Irish and Leicester Tigers, in round 16 and 17 respectively.

Round 18 sees Saracens welcome Exeter Chiefs to Allianz Park in a repeat of last season’s LV=Cup final, before Mark McCall’s charges face Bath Rugby in April.

After a week’s break for European Champions Cup Quarter Final weekend, April sees Saracens decamp from Allianz Park across north London to Wembley Stadium for the club’s annual fixture at the National Stadium. Once again Sarries will face London rivals Harlequins at Wembley, in round 20 of the Premiership.

After a break for the European Champions Cup semi-finals, Saracens will finish the season with a home game in round 22 against Newcastle and a trip to Sixways Stadium to face Worcester Warriors on the final day of the regular season.
