Saracens Academy Manager Don Barrell is happy with the call-up of three Saracens academy players to the England Under 18s squad for their tour to South Africa this month.

“It is great news that the boys have been called up to the tour. They’ve been working hard throughout last season, and especially this preseason where Nathan, Josh and Hayden have all trained alongside the senior squad” explained Barrell.
“The tour will hopefully be a time for them to play in some high quality matches and showcase their talents on the representative stage”.
He added; “For us a club, seeing academy players recognised at international level is very pleasing.”’
England U18s Head Coach John Fletcher has chosen the Saracens trio in his 26 man squad to take on hosts South Africa, France and Wales in the quadrangular tournament told the rfu website how important the tour will be for the players development.
“The summer tour is an important part of the England U18s season – we’re excited about heading out to South Africa for the second year in a row and it’s a good opportunity for our lads to play against the best players in their age bracket”.
