Loosehead prop Richard Barrington is set to make his full Premiership debut this weekend, as the former Jersey front-rower has been named in Saracens starting line-up to take on the Northampton Saints on Saturday.
“I feel good! I feel prepared for the clash at the weekend and I’m really looking forward to it” said Barrington.
“It should be a really good game, it will be a game with big hits and our defence needs to be solid but we are well prepared. I watched the semi-final last year and I saw the disapointment in the boys faces, we don’t like talking about revenge but its an opportunity to right a few wrongs.”
Barrington says his time playing for the Saracens Storm in the A League has benefited him as he prepare to make his full debut in Saturday’s top of the table clash away at Franklin’s Gardens.
“Playing in the Storm has given me game time and the right preparations needed to fit into the team. My time playing A-League is benefiting me and making the step up in game like Saturday’s is great opportunity for me to prove myself” he said.
“I’ve be given my opportunity through another players (Rhys Gill) misfortune, and I wish Rhys a speedy recovery, it was very unfortunate (the injury) I will try and take this opportunity to play with both hands.”
