Brits & Hargreaves to face South Africa

Saracens' duo Schalk Brits and Alistair Hargreaves will play against the Springboks after being named in the World XV side for their match in Cape Town on June 7.

ERC player of the season nominee Brits won 5 caps for the Springboks between 2008-12, and he is joined by Saracens teammate Alistair Hargreaves who won the last of his of his 4 caps for South Africa against New Zealand in Wellington back in 2011.

The match acts as a warm up game for South Africa ahead of their two-Test series against Wales and the World XV side is packed with ex-Boks. Brits will take his place in the team alongside prop BJ Botha, and Juandre Kruger. Castres' scrum-half Rory Kockott is also in the squad.

The six will be joined by Carl Hayman, Julien Bonnaire, James O'Connor, Steffon Armitage, Matt Giteau, Francois Trinh-Duc, Drew Mitchell and Hosea Gear with the team coached by Nick Mallett, who coached the South African Barbarians side that faced Saracens at the HAC last summer.
