Brits included in Blitzboks squad

Saracens' Springbok international Schalk Brits has been included in the SA Sevens squad for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 33-year-old hooker who is currently away with Heyneke Meyer's South African squad for their test series with Wales, has been included in the Blitzboks squad for the Sevens tournament that takes place on July 22nd/23rd in Glasgow.

Speaking to SARugbymag.co.za, Blitzboks coach Neil Powell (who has also included Toulon winger Bryan Habana in his squad) said; "The Commonwealth Games is an ideal opportunity, with the Olympics in mind, to bring a few of the 15s players into the sevens fold".

Brits could be facing England, Kenya, Scotland and Wales in Glasgow, with the four aforementioned sides preparing for the Commonwealth Games at Allianz Park in the Sevens and the City festival on Saturday July 12th. To purchase tickets click here.
