Brits praises Saracens character
Hooker Schalk Brits praised his sides character and relentlessness, after Saracens beat rivals Northampton Saints 28-24 at Allianz Park this afternoon.
The South African hooker was his usual all-action self before being replaced by Jamie George after 50 minutes, and was instrumental in the build-up to Saracens second try of the afternoon, making a scorching break from the halfway line in the build up to Kelly Brown's 22nd minute effort.
"I think the team played pretty well," said Brits.
"We were very good for 70 minutes and we did let it slip a bit towards the end, but we showed great character and to see out the game with 14 guys."
He added; "We pride ourselves on being relentless with the way we play and think we did that today. Saints are good side, and they came back well as good sides do, but there are so many positives we can take out of today’s performance. It’s a very good result for us".
