Brown seeking Saracens improvement

Saracens back rower Kelly Brown has challenged Saracens to channel their frustration into next week’s game against Northampton after a disappointing 21-21 draw against Leicester Tigers this afternoon.

Speaking after the game at Welford Road, Brown said; “There’s a lot of emotion in the dressing room, and the boys are disappointed. We played OK in patches, but ultimately it was discipline that coast us, and it’s something we will have to look at.

“The ball was very slippery out there, so we had to get our kicking game spot on and Charlie really put us around the park very well today. We need to look at ourselves, not any external factors as to why we didn’t get the result we wanted today. We can certainly improve.”

Brown added; “It’s a massive game next week. They’re reigning champions and they have just been beaten at home, so they’ll want to come out firing, and so will we. Already we’re exciting by the challenge, we want to make up for a little bit of disappointment this week”.
