Can you help the Saracens Sport Foundation SHINE Garden?
The Saracens Sport Foundation are seeking help from Saracens supporters with a love for gardening.
Can you help the Saracens Sport Foundation with their brand new Community Garden project designed, SHINE.
Developed by the Saracens Sport Foundation, SHINE will reach out to vulnerable members of the local community using social and therapeutic horticulture.
The community garden will be a bespoke space that will include separate areas for growing produce, growing plants and fauna, a sensory plant and flower area and a multi-purpose learning space. It will also offer vocational gardening qualifications leading to accredited educational, training and employability skills.
We need your help to connect with local DIY stores, garden centres, building firms, metalsmiths/blacksmiths or garden companies that you may know of that might be able to contribute towards the below list of items and moving the project forward.
- Groundworks and removal of waste material
- Reclaimed wood/sleepers – Decking, raised beds and step access
- Fruit trees and plants
- Wooden gazebo
- Garden tools and clothing
We are also keep to connect with keen gardeners who might be interested to come on board to volunteer to get the garden up and running.
The Saracens Sport Foundation is a registered charity that is dedicated to inclusion and using sport in its broadest sense to bring about positive change within our community.
If you feel you have the contacts or time to give to the project or would like further information about SHINE, please can you get in contact with Simone Shepherd on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07590890801.
