Saracens Premiership Touch Rugby

The growth of Premiership Touch Rugby has been phenomenal and since Saracens started in 2007 the programme has seen over 300 participants each year. Nationally over 1500 teams and 18,000 participants at venues across England take part in the sport. Saracens deliver in partnership with www.touchrugby.co.uk , market leaders involved either directly or indirectly in over 75% of the leagues currently operating in England.

Touch rugby is aimed at adults of all abilities; it is a fun non-contact game, caters for all shapes, sizes, fitness levels and can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. This game is for everyone, social or serious, corporate or casual, amateur or professional. Touch Rugby is easy to learn and a great way to get in shape, it is a low-time commitment meaning it is appealing to men and women who have work, family and social commitments but also enjoy exercising in a social environment.

The Saracens mixed leagues are socially inclusive and each team is made up of a mix of both men and women aged 16+. The league is graded so you will compete against players with a similar experience or standard to yourself ensuring the league will remain enjoyable throughout. Saracens aim each year to get a number of local businesses and club sides entered, plus social teams and teachers (and pupils 16+) entered into the leagues that take place at Old Albanian RFC.

Saracens place a large emphasis on the social side of the game (what happens off the field) and if you want to play some great Touch Rugby and have a fun summer with your friends come and join a Premiership Touch Rugby league with the club.

"Thank you again for organizing the league, the guys (and girls) really enjoyed it and we are going to keep on playing through the season. We now have recruited around 22 players and will look to enter 2 teams next season." Stephan Van Der Merwe
