Saracens Community Programme

The Saracens Community Team is separated into two distinct organisations: (i) The Saracens Sport Foundation, and (ii) Saracens Ltd Community Department.

(i) The Saracens Sport Foundation is a registered charity which exits to enhance the lives of young people through sport. It aims to inspire and challenge children to live an active, healthy lifestyle and understand the benefits of doing so. The work of the Saracens Sport Foundation focuses on creating effective partnerships within the local community, forging links with Local Education Authorities, Primary Care Trusts, schools, sports clubs, local businesses, charities and other like minded organisations, who in turn help to fund the work of the team. The Foundation strives to deliver innovative, effective and high quality programmes to primary schools identified by the funding partners. The programmes provide real value to our beneficiaries, helping meet their objectives, but in turn limiting the delivery programme to specific targeted schools.

(ii) Saracens Ltd Community Team has a differing remit working with rugby players, rugby clubs, rugby playing schools and local businesses to develop coaching and playing standards and an interest in rugby with people of all ages. It also strives to provide local people with the opportunity to experience for themselves what it feels like to attend a Saracens home game, and in some cases be involved in the Matchday Experience.
