Duncan Taylor will return to his old stomping ground on Friday evening when Saracens face Bedford Blues at Goldington Road in their final pre-season friendly of 2014.
The Scotland international three-quarter who previously played for the Blues before signing for Saracens in 2011, has been in impressive form for the Club during their pre-season campaign.
“I’m really looking forward to Friday evening,” said Taylor. “I love playing at Goldington Road. It’s a really old school place to play, plus I think a few of the boys playing at Bedford who were there when I played will be there, so it will be good to catch up with a few of them”.
On Saracens’ pre-season form he added; “Things have been coming together pretty nicely. Our attacking shape has been pretty good in the off-season and we’ve scored a couple of tries so far – going forward it’s looking promising.
“Personally, getting some game time under my belt over the last few weeks has been fun and really beneficial. At the back end of last season I had a few issues with my Achilles and my calf but now I’m feeling fine and after some rehab and some good pre-season work I’m going into the season feeling pretty good”.
He added; “I think everyone is just pretty excited to be getting the new season started now”.
