Saracens coach Alex Sanderson takes charge of Saracens this Friday when they travel to Adams Park to face London Wasps in the LV=Cup.
“It will be like the first game of the season for some, and with that comes a few nerves” said Sanderson.
“How we control those nerves will determine how we get on tomorrow evening – if we harness that energy and exploit any nerves in the opposition then we’ll have a great chance; but it really can go either way.”
Sanderson added; “We’ve got some really experienced guys in the team who know what is expected of them when they pull on a Saracens jersey, maybe more than we have ever had in this competition over the last few seasons. We are confident that the team that will take the field on Friday has the potential to deliver a Saracens like performance.
On the hosts, he added; “Wasps have had some very impressive results as of late – they’re in a rich vein of form so we understand that we are coming up against a side who will be desperate to maintain their momentum.
“The opening exchanges will be brutal – it will be a furious at times and I’m sure that both sides will be looking to knock lumps out of each other - it promises to be battle on Friday”.
