Foundation Fans show their support
Despite Saracens disappointing loss last weekend, the Saracens Sport Foundation received plenty of support on the day.
We were delighted to receive a very generous donation of £900 from The Hale Lodge, represented by Kevin Shults who presented the cheque to Foundation Trustee Jon Caldwell. This valuable contribution will go directly into our work delivering sport for social change projects to almost 75,000 participants annually in our local community. Our thanks go to Kevin and The Hale Lodge for their support.
If that wasn’t enough, fans were treated to a half time performance by 80 participants from our Love to Dance programme which focuses on improving health and wellbeing in those who are 50+. Despite the cold (and very windy!) weather and some performance nerves, they braved the elements to entertain supporters and chimes of “can we go and do it again” were echoing round the South stand afterwards!
Finally running mad-man Richard Jones took on a half marathon as the game got underway, clocking up an impressive 1 hour 28 minutes to put us all to shame. Richard is taking on 20 half marathons and 14 FULL marathons in 2014, hoping to raise £10,000 for the Saracens Sport Foundation along the way. Please support his incredible effort by donating here
