Will Fraser makes his first return to a Saracens starting line-up since April 20th, and the 24 year-old flanker says he is itching to get back into the thick of the action this Saturday.
“Obviously, I can’t wait to get going” said Fraser.
“At first I wasn’t meant to back this soon, we spoke about coming back maybe in late November so we have shaved quite the chunk of time off that, I”m a bit nervous but very excited”.
He added; “To be back is huge, preseason wasn’t too bad – I was doing my own thing in my rehab and I was OK with that but the first game we had at Allianz Park sort of broke me a little bit, so I’ve been itching to get back out at Allianz Park”.
Saracens are looking to record their fifth consecutive win of the season when they face Wasps, and Fraser believes they will be facing a dangerous side on Saturday.
He said “They have some big ball carries in Ashley Johnson and Launchbury in the pack, and finishers like Christian Wade, so we need to be careful on Saturday. They haven’t had the start of the season they would have liked to have had, so the chance to come to Allianz Park and turn us over will no doubt be a huge incentive for them.
“It’s always a hard game against Wasps, and there’s never an easy game in this league to be fair –it promises to be a tough game, but we have played pretty well so far this season”.
