Hooker Jamie George was disappointed with his sides second half showing, after the Northampton Saints ran in 20 unanswered points in the second half to see off Saracens.
“It was a good first half performance we were in the driving seat but I think we let our foot off the gas in the second half and it is a hard one to take” said George, who had a strong game during his 77 minutes on the field.
“It’s obviously very frustrating and we can take away a few lessons from today. The LV=Cup is a great opportunity for players who might not play so much to show their worth and I think a lot of guys put their hand up today.
“We just weren’t quite there at the end but there was definitely some individual performances that were a huge positive for us” added the hooker.
