Six of Saracens’ Global Network players from around the world are in the UK this week as part of the Saracens Global Network Player Pathway scheme for 2014.
Players from Brazil, Kenya, Malaysia, Russia and the UAE will be based at Saracens training facility in St Albans, and will put through their collective paces alongside the Senior and Junior Academy’s in their preseason preparations for the 2014/15 season.
Saracens Global Network Director Alex Bate; “Each year during pre-season the most talented young rugby players from our Global Network clubs around the world are invited to train with Saracens during July and August. The players which have come from Sao Paulo, Kenya, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow, and the UAE will train full time with the squad and will be eager to impress in order to secure a full time academy contract”.
The six players attending this year’s player pathway are: Alex Johns (KL Saracens), Xavier Bauwmans (Abu Dhabi Saracens), Linar Sattarov (Moscow Saracens), Gabriel Paganini (Sao Paulo Saracens), Sammy Oliech (Nairobi Saracens) and Ian Minjire (Nairobi Saracens).
