Global Network Review
Seven of Saracens Global Network sides were in action over the weekend.
Abu Dhabi Saracens – In pre-season.
Impala Saracens - It was last chance saloon for Impala Saracens over the weekend in the fifth and final leg of the Safaricom 7's series. Impala Saracens qualified for the cup competition but also reached the final. They eventually lost in a spirited and hard fought match against Mwamba.
Kuala Lumpur - In pre-season.
Lelo Saracens - After going three weeks undefeated, Lelo Saracens came undone against Armazi losing 20-8. The loss means Lelo Saracens keep hold of third place in the league but lose pace with leaders Wissol Kochebi who are now six points ahead.
Moscow Saracens - Moscow Saracens recorded a convincing away win, 36-17, over Metalurg. The victory means Moscow Saracens climb to third in the play-off table, four points ahead of fourth Slava with only one round remaining.
São Paulo Saracens - São Paulo Saracens were beaten by local rivals, SPAC. It was a much improved performance, but a final score of 31-22 leaves São Paulo Saracens battling at the wrong end of the table.
Seattle Saracens - The fifteen-a-side season could not have started better for Seattle Saracens. They beat Rowers 54-17.
Timisoara Saracens - Under a huge cloud of controversy, Timisoara Saracens lost their semi-final 9-0. This means the two time defending champions have to settle for a third place playoff next weekend. With six players not being allowed to play due to medical visas, Timisoara Saracens could not perform to their best. More to follow in a later report.
Toa Saracens - Toa Saracens got back to winning ways this weekend with a convincing 34-12 victory over Kolofo'ou Lions.
