Gloucester 'dangerous' opponents - Wigglesworth

Richard Wigglesworth believes Saracens will have to be at their very best if they are to beat Gloucester at Allianz Park this Saturday, kick-off 15h00.

The Cherry and Whites arrive at Allianz Park on the back of an impressive 33-16 defeat of Leicester Tigers, and in-form scrum-half Wigglesworth believes Gloucester are beginning to hit their straps, after a summer of heavy recruitment at Kingsholm.

“We’re playing Gloucester at a tough time. We’re coming off a loss and they’re coming into the game after a very good win,” said the 31-year-old.

“A lot of people have been saying it will take them time to gel, but they now look like a team who know what they want to do with the ball. Couple that with some top class players, then we know they are going to be very dangerous opponents this weekend.”

Saracens are hoping to bounce back from their defeat away to Bath, and Wigglesworth has praised Saracens preparation this week as they gear up to face David Humphreys side.

“It’s been a good week. The coaches are very sensible after a loss. They know that as long as the effort’s there, and we’ve put everything into the game, then they just talk about the finer details of where we could have done better - rather than throwing any toys out of the pram."

He added; “The boys have looked great this week, there’s a good feeling around the place. We’re back at home and hopefully it will be a great performance from us at the weekend.”
