Goode looking forward to reunion

Full-back Alex Goode will be lining up against some old friends this Sunday when Newcastle visit Allianz Park.

Goode, 25, came through the Saracens academy alongside Cato and Powell who have been named in Dean Richards' starting XV, as well as Falcons flanker Andy Saull who is unavailable for Sunday's fixture.

"I wish them well but obviously that isn't extended to this Sunday" laughed Goode (who is pictured alongside Noah Cato, Adam Powell, Andy Saull and Saracens senior strength and conditioning coach Andy Edwards).

"It's going to be great to be playing against Noah and Adam  - they're good friends of mine as we all came through the ranks at Saracens from when we started at the Academy when we were 18".

"It will be pretty interesting playing against them, but in rugby you tend to play against good friends all the time, so it that respect it's nothing new".

"Powelly is a real leader for them, and has been playing really well from what I've seen.  Noah is going well on the wing so all three of the ex-Sarries should prove to be good additions for the Falcons".

Goode added; "It's great see them all playing and going well. When anyone leaves you just wish them the best and you hope that their careers go forward.
