Hamilton looking forward to Gloucester clash

Jim Hamilton believes Saturday’s opponents Gloucester have made huge improvements so far this season, as Saracens prepare to face the Cherry & Whites at Allianz Park.

“Gloucester have improved a lot this season,” said Hamilton. “It’ll be fantastic to play against them on Saturday and it’ll be great to run out at Allianz Park once again."

Hamilton captained Gloucester during his three-year spell at Kingsholm, and the 31-year-old second rower says he is looking forward to facing his former employers on Saturday.

“My time at Gloucester was fantastic and a period that I look back on with great fondness. The team that will be running out on Saturday is a lot different to the one I was involved in a couple of years ago."

He added; “I’ve played against friends before, and against teams I’ve played for. It can be a little bit strange, but that probably only lasts into the warm-up. I’m really looking forward to the game.”
