Try scorer Matt Hankin impressed for Saracens in their 3-47 win over IPA Championship side Bedford Blues.
The back rower came off the bench at half-time and produced a barnstorming display that saw the former England U20s star cross for a 46th minute try at Goldington Road.
“It was good fun out there,” said Hankin.
“It’s great to playing alongside the boys again. I think going into the season it’s important that I get some game time alongside them so I can get used to the systems and how they play. It was a good score, and it’s always fun when you get a good win against a good side like Bedford and hopefully we can carry that momentum into the season.”
Hankin added; “I want to take every chance I get. Obviously we have such a good squad and with a lot of depth, so any chance that comes my way I want to take with both hands. If I can get some more Premiership games this year then I’ll be more than happy”.
