Hargreaves 'pumped' for Worcester clash

Alistair Hargreaves will captain Saracens this weekend; here Henry Fraser talks to the South African lock forward.

This weekend’s game is final regular season home fixture for Sarries and a big opportunity to secure top spot with one round to go. There are only a couple of changes to the team this week and Alistair Hargreaves is back to the starting fifteen and leads the team.

"Sarries is always a great place to go to work and this week been no different. We're pumped to put in a good performance,” said the Springbok international.

"I see securing top spot as motivation rather than pressure. Our focus is purely on the challenge that Worcester will bring, but it's nice to know that if we put in a good shift we'll be rewarded with the top spot.

"We'll try to make sure we maintain the standards that we've set so far this season. You can always rely on them to put up a fight and we have to make sure that our intensity surpasses theirs.

"It's vital to back up a big performance like last week. We need to keep building momentum and we don't have a 'pick and choose mentality'. We expect to put in quality performances regardless of who or where we play,” added Hargreaves.
