A youthful Saracens Storm came beat Cambridge University 9-17 at Grange Road on Monday night.
Tries from Jake Caulfield and Maro Itoje in either half was enough to see off the University side, with Ben Spencer adding seven points with the boot.
Saracens scored their first try from a driving maul with loosehead prop Jake Caulfield the try scorer after 11 minutes, Spencer duly converted.
Cambridge University added two penalties as the Storm went into half time 6-7 up.
In the second half the Storm were rewarded with a penalty after putting together some very good phases of play, with Ben Spencer extending his sides lead, t0 6-10.
Cambridge added another penalty of their own, before Saracens ultimately sealed the game , with Maro Itoje scoring the all important try with only nine minutes left in the contest.
After some quick thinking from the Storm with a quick tap and go at a penalty, Maro Itoje received the ball and powered his way over to score next to the left uprights added the extras as a young Storm side saw out the remainder of the game.
