Kruis credits Saracens resolve

Man of the Match George Kruis praised Saracens collective spirit after they held-on to beat Sale Sharks 15-19 in a tight European contest Greater Manchester.

Kruis, who produced a committed 80 minute performance during the match said after the game; “They were a massive last few minutes at the end. To defend on your own line after exiting so well is pretty difficult - I thought the boys defended so well. All the lads did brilliantly to dig-in. The bench came on and helped us and guys like Jim Hamilton did really well.

“We’re taking steps in the right direction. There are things that we can rectify going forward. It was great to get some players back. I thought Mako Vunipola in particular was great today, he was strong in the loose, the scrum and at the breakdown, but everyone played their part".

He added; “It was a great win for us. It wasn’t a perfect performance, but we can head into another tough game next week with more confidence after today”.
