The Magicians secret prize draw: terms and conditions

The magicians secret prize draw involves numbered codes and visuals hidden in flags which will be given away and then subsequently sold at future Saracens rugby club home games.

The supporters who get to the ground first will get the allocation of FREE flags at each game. Those wishing to make up a whole set if they miss out will be able to buy flags from sellers and from the retail concessions at the ground while stocks last. The proceeds from the sale of flags go the Saracens Foundation.

By entering the prize draw entrants (or voters for a particular entrant) together with any other member of the public involved (all such persons being referred to as 'entrant') hereby agree to be bound by these rules as amended from time to time, and by any competition instructions.

It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any updates of these rules, and they acknowledge that any failure to comply with these rules could lead to their disqualification without reasons being given or opportunity for challenge.

1. The Judges shall, unless provided otherwise in the prize draw instructions, be the CEO of Saracens and at least one judge independent of the Saracens Foundation and any promoters, and the identity of that Judge may be given in the competition instructions. The identity of the Judges may be requested by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Saracens Foundation magicians prize draw.

2.1 The general principle is fairness: applications should be made fairly. If, in the opinion of the Judges this principle has been flouted, they can declare any entries or void the prize draw application change the prize draw instructions, or adjust the entries to achieve fairness, as they think fit. The prize draw allows only one entry per entrant by computer or official prize draw form available at the time of the Saracens v Newcastle game. This being the date when the final and 10th flag is launched. You will have until 10 mins before the beginning of the final Guinness Premiership match between Saracens and Harlequins (17th April 2010) to make your application.

2.1a The final prize draw will take place at half time on the 17th April at the Saracens v Harlequins match.

2.2 The decision of the Judges over every instance shall be final and unchallengeable and in their absolute discretion they may declare void any entry/ vote or the prize draw itself should they consider that there are no entries reaching a required standard, whereupon they can award prizes or not as they think fit. Judges shall have the right, at their discretion, to change the rules of the magicians secret prize draw while it is running if it appears to them that it would be equitable or appropriate to do so, including the extension of the closing date whereupon there will be an announcement of any such extension at the first reasonable opportunity. No correspondence will be entered into or comment issued on any matters concerning any competition, and no reasons given for any decision made by the Judges.

3. The prize draw is open to all UK residents unless any other age restriction is specified or implied. Entrants should, if under 18, obtain permission in advance from their parent or guardian and be able to demonstrate that to the Judge's satisfaction. Employees of Saracens Foundation regular contributors and contractors, the promoters and individuals connected with any company involved in the prize draw, agents and members of the immediate family of the above people will not be eligible to participate.

4.1 All entries must be legible, written in ink or ballpoint pen, and made on the official form, if there is one, or the official page on the website www.saracens.com or any other website associated Saracens rugby football club. They must be clearly marked with the entrant's name, address, email address and telephone number as requested. Any illegible, mutilated, altered, corrupted or multiple entry may be disqualified.

4.2 Entries must be made in accordance with the prize draw instructions. They are invalid if they are received any later than the specified closing time (which shall be GMT date and time).

4.4 All prize draw codes must be answered and all other entry requirements fulfilled.

4.5 Proof of submission or of posting of a form will not constitute proof of delivery and no responsibility will be accepted for lost, corrupted, delayed or mislaid entries.

4.6 The 3 winning prize draw prizes will be awarded to the first 3 correct magicians code application forms or printed electronic entry forms drawn from the web site application.

5 Saracens Rugby Club reserves the right to publish the names of the winners and runners-up, and the winning entries themselves, and all winners are required to give their full co-operation to all reasonable requests by Saracens Rugby Club or a promoter in connection with publicity for the prize draw, their entry, the prize or otherwise.

6. Saracens Rugby Club shall have the following rights over all winning entries:- the exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide licence to first publication.

7. There will be no cash or other alternative to the prizes offered and prizes are not transferable.

8. Where applicable, prize winners will be responsible for organizing valid passport(s) and for securing any necessary visas or complying with other regulation. They are also strongly advised to take out adequate insurance and health advice. Dates, destinations and other specific details of a prize are subject to availability.

9) The 1st prize consists of 4 flights to Dinard with Ryanair plus Ryanair insurance and 1 large backage allowance per person, a holiday cottage at Lehon in Brittany for the week 24th July 2010 to 31st July 2010, all tickets to the festival of the ramparts at Dinan. Winners will have to make their own way to Stansted airport on Saturday 24th and their return from the airport on the 31st July. Spending money of 500 euros will be made available to help the winners enjoy the festival and get a taxi from the airport in France. Responsibility for passports and prompt arrival at airport and all other aspects of sensible safe travel are the responsibility of the passengers who win the prize draw. Additional 4 tickets to the end of season dinner plus photo with available players of your choice are also part of the winning first prize

2nd prize consists of 4 season tickets to Saracens season 2010-2011

3rd Prize consists of a large Saracens pride in unity flag signed by the whole squad.

9.1 Spot prizes for individuals at home games who have flags and know the coded answer hidden in the flag will be awarded on the day. This may consist of an immediate prize like a badge or t shirt or you may be invited for a photo with the nominated position of the day. This part of the magician’s secret is a separate part of the overall offer. It is at the discretion of the magician’s assistants on the day who are choosing people on their enthusiasm but of course to win you need to crack the code.

9.1 Saracens Rugby club will not be liable for any circumstances beyond its reasonable control that prevent the prize draw being fulfilled, a winner or winners being chosen, or any prize being taken up or fully enjoyed by a winner. Saracens Rugby Club excludes liability to the extent permitted by law for any cost, claims or losses howsoever caused that arise by reason of any person's entry into the prize draw or the award, or non award, to them of a prize. In the event of any error, whether printing, technological or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the Judges reserve the right to administer the competition as though the error had not occurred.

9.2 If any winner of a competition is unable to take up a prize for any reason, or if Saracens Rugby Club has not been able, after making reasonable efforts, to make contact with the winner, Saracens Rugby Club reserves the right to award that prize (without notice to the first winner chosen) to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen shall not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever. Saracens Rugby Club shall not have any liability in such eventuality.

10. The judges recognize that the coding on the flags consists of numbers and visuals which have one common link. To save ambiguity the winners will be those in the judges opinion who have given the correct answer required in the prize draw Magicians secret coding rules. Those with 10 correct answers to the coding will be entered into the prize draw. In the event nobody has all the answers to the coding correct we will put entrants who have 9 correct answers and so down to 1 if necessary.

12. Names of major prize winners will be available on receipt of a request enclosing a stamped addressed envelope to Saracens Magician’s Secret prize draw.

13 All entries will remain confidential. All applications will be held for 3 months after the prize draw.
