Mako excited by return to action

Mako Vunipola is back in the Saracens matchday 23 for Saturday's Aviva Premiership clash away to Exeter Chiefs, the first time since playing in the club's Heineken Cup final appearance in May.

The influential prop forward has been name on the bench in Mark McCall’s matchday squad, as Saracens look to bounce back from a frustrating defeat to Northampton Saints last Sunday.

Speaking about Saturday’s Premiership clash, Mako said; “I’m not as excited now as I will be tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to be involved in such a big game against the Chiefs, who are going really well.

“I’m looking forward to be out there again with the boys as it’s been a long six months. It’s exciting, but they’re a few nerves about being out there once again.

“I hope I have improved in other aspects since I’ve been away. It’s a long time to be out, but it does give you the chance to work on other aspects of your game, and get stronger in other areas. I’ve tried to improve on other things, and I’ll see if I have done when I’m out there on Saturday”.

He added; “Like I said, I’m just excited to be involved and I can’t wait to get there on the field once again and to be playing rugby”.
