Guinness A League 2007/08

Launched four seasons ago, the Guinness A League is an ideal place to reintroduce injured players or aid the development of youngsters coming into the first team system.

With the low injury count at Saracens last season, the club was able to field strong sides in the competition this season with the likes of Andy Farrell and Richard Hill coming back from injury and Neil de Kock and Kameli Ratuvou also getting their first taste of English rugby.

The League is competed by the Premiership clubs and divided up into two geographical divisions, North and South, with the top teams from each division playing each other to decide the overall winner at the end of the season.

Teams will play home and away with a play off at the end of the season to determine the premiership's champion A team. The Guinness A League will be played by the clubs second teams but first team players who have appeared on the bench but not played will be allowed to play in the A League, which will be played on Monday nights.

For the last three seasons Saracens have played their home fixtures at Old Albanian RFC in St Albans and following the success of the venue this ground will again be used by the club for its home fixtures for the 2007/08 season.

Entrance to Saracens home games will cost £5 for Adults and £2 for concessions and as well as food and drinks being available from the bar there will also be a BBQ commencing at 7.00pm.
