Mark McCall was “pleased” to have come away from Adams Park with a try bonus point win, after Saracens ran in four tries to beat London Wasps 20-32 to stay top of the Aviva Premiership.
“We are really pleased to have come to what is a difficult place to get a result and come away with four tries and another five points on the log” said the Saracens Director of Rugby.
“I think up front we were good, we were pretty formidable. We were good in the collisions for the most part and were pretty clinical when we had to be”.
McCall also paid tribute to his players mental strength after the game; “We didn’t have the usual physical preparation that we usually do this week, we only had one training session so I think it tells you a lot about the mental strength of this group.
“They were determined to front up today and get stuck in, and they did. It wasn’t by any means a perfect performance, there were elements of the game I wasn’t happy with, but the energy and the defensive effort was great and we scored some great tries” he added.
