Saracens recognised at RPA awards evening


Maro Itoje claimed the Young Player of the Year crown at the RPA Awards on Wednesday night.

Itoje who has had enjoyed a marvellous campaign for both Saracens and England this season picked up the award at Rugby Players Association dinner where he received the award.

On the night, Saracens No8 Billy Vunipola picked up the RPA’s England Player of the Year, whilst legendary fly-half Charlie Hodgson received The Restart Rugby Special Merit Award as he looks to bring down the curtain on a glittering 16-year playing career at the end of this season.

Another winner on the night was Henry Fraser. The former Saracens Academy player and brother of flanker Will Fraser was awarded with the RPA Blyth Spirit Award.
