Saracens team to face Worcester

Saracens have named their team to face Worcester Warriors for Saturday’s friendly at Bramley Road, Southgate kick-off 13h00.

With Saracens swapping Allianz Park to return to their spiritual home for a one-off game, the Premiership Champions have picked a side littered with home-grown talent, with no-less than ten academy graduates picked in the starting XV.

Lock forward Maro Itoje will skipper the side from the heart of the Saracens engine room. Itoje is joined in the second row by Ed Gower who is at the club on a short-term deal during the Rugby World Cup.

Elsewhere in the pack, Ralph Adams-Hale starts at loosehead prop alongside Australian hooker Dave Porecki and tighead prop Biyi Alo whilst in the back row Matt Hankin starts at blindside flanker and is joined by Will Fraser (openside flanker) and Jackson Wray (no8).

In the backs, Ben Spencer and Baden Kerr continue at halfback with Nils Mordt coming into the side at inside centre to partner Nick Tompkins in the Saracens midfield.

Nathan Earle comes into the side to start on the right wing, with Mike Ellery joining him on the opposite touchline – Aaron Morris continues at full-back.
