Support the players through Movember

24 Nov 2009 - 15:35

Have you noticed some strange facial growth on the Saracens squad in recent weeks? Well, it’s not some strange team bonding ritual – it’s the players doing their bit for Movember.

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer.

And members of the squad are doing their bit by growing their own moustaches. Mouritz Botha is modeling his Mo on American wrestling star Hulk Hogan and others are also clipping their Mo to replicate those sported by celebrities.

The players are raising money for the event and would love your support. Click here to visit the Movember website and to donate.

To date, Movember has raised over £30 million globally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. And, more importantly, as a direct result, male awareness of health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread health messages directly to millions around the world.

Going forward, Movember will continue to work towards helping to change established habits and attitudes and make men aware of the risks they face, thereby increasing early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment.
