Duncan Taylor has been named at outside centre for Saturday’s Premiership clash away to Wasps, and the Scottish three-quarter is excited to be involved in what he describes is a “crucial” part of the season.
“The teams current form is good. We need to just keep taking it week by week and playing every game like it’s a final” said the 24-year-old.
“It’s a crucial part of the season now so we need to keep up the form we’ve showed through most of the campaign.”
Saracens travel to High Wycombe this weekend as league leaders, and Taylor believes they will be in for a “huge” challenge to come away from Adams Park with the result.
“It’s another massive game. Playing Wasps is always a tough test especially on their own patch, but I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
“Wasps have a great defence and are a very hard team to break down. They have world class players there that can pull strings so it’s important we stay alive through the entire match and don’t switch off.
“They’ve got a few massive ball carriers and some real pace and class out wide so we have to work hard and make sure our defence is on form”.
He added;“We just have to take every game week by week and keep plugging away and hope we do enough to stay up there”.
