Pride of the Pack Burger salutes Sarries
Jacques Burger produced a stunning solo performance in Saracens' 29-24 triumph over Northampton Saints at Franklin's Gardens.
In his 100th appearance for the club, Burger produced a fearless and ferocious display from openside flanker. The Namibian loose forward was at his abrasive best. He produced a series of bone-rattling hits, with his crunching smash on Ken Pisi at the stroke of half-time a hit that will dominate any Burger career highlight reels.
Speaking after an awe-inspiring performance in the Saracens No7 jersey, Burger said: "It was a great day and I'm extremely proud. It's 15 guys on the pitch, with subs coming on, so it's a team effort. The boys worked really hard today.
"It's harder than it looks, but the boys battled for everything today and I'm really proud of them. It was a tough contest, they always are against Northampton. It was about the small margins today and we edged it."
