When Saracens face Bedford Blues on Saturday afternoon Ben Ransom will be coming up against some familiar faces.
The talented full-back (who has been named in the Saracens replacements for Saturday’s game) spent the majority of last season at Goldington Road and the 21 year-old has praised the link between the two clubs.
“I think the link we have with Bedford is outstanding” he revealed.
“For the younger guys like myself who maybe aren’t playing on a regular basis at Saracens we can go there not only to get game-time, but play with some great players at Goldington Road, as Bedford are one of the main forces at Championship level”.
“It provides an environment for us to play week in week out which helps us progress our rugby” adds Ransom, “hopefully it provides us with a platform to showcase our abilities – and that is can only be good for both Bedford and Saracens”.
“I think my time last gave me that chance to play at a high standard – I was going well near the end of last season and hopefully if I’m lucky enough I can continue that kind of form into the new season”.
