Michael Tagicakibau came off the bench to make his first Premiership appearance for Saracens since returning to the club this summer, and the Fijian flyer underlined the importance of Saracens 12 – 22 win away to Harlequins.
“It was good to get a couple of minutes out there today, to get involved in a few tackles and just play my part in helping the team get the win today. We came down here today and we initially struggled to get a foothold in the game but our belief in each other in the second half shone through and we’re very happy with the win” said Tagicakibau.
“This is one of the toughest places to come and play in the Premiership, they have consistently been one of the top four sides over recent seasons so to come away from here with the win is a massive boost for the team and hopefully we can carry that on into next week.
Saracens attention now shifts to London Wasps on Saturday and the 28 year old three-quarter hopes to play his part when Saracens return to Allianz Park.
“It will be brilliant to get out at Allianz Park if I get the chance on Saturday ” he said.
“I’ll approach next week like I did for today (Saturday) and just give my best for the team and hopefully we’ll come away with the win against a very dangerous Wasps team”.
