Alan Day Volkswagen Cup (U7-U10)

Alan Day Volkswagen Cup (U7-U10)

To date Saracens have received a high level of entries and interest with regards to our Alan Day VW Cup (U7-U10) taking place at our new stadium Allianz Park this season. The new stadium will host all our festivals and with it boasting a 4G playing surface we have the luxury of being able to provide the experience of actually playing on a premiership pitch for a number of teams taking part who reach the knock out stages**.  Saracens will utilise the surrounding playing areas of Mill Hill Rugby Club and the new stadium pitch itself to deliver a structured competition with qualified and experienced referees; access to Saracens professional players; and of course attendance to see Saracens in action as part of the Aviva Premiership.

  • Sat 16th Feb        Saracens U10 Alan Day VW Cup                      (Saracens vs Exeter)
  • Sun 3rd Mar         Saracens U7 & U8 Alan Day VW Cup               (Saracens vs London Welsh)
  • Sun 24th Mar       Saracens U9 Alan Day VW Cup                        (Saracens vs Harlequins)
  • Sun 4th May        Saracens Alan Day VW Champions Event*       (Saracens vs Bath)

We would like to see as many partner (and on partner) clubs represented as possible and encourage teams to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing out. When reserving your place(s) or expressing an interest in taking part please ensure your coaches or you email richardgregg@saracens.net with the below information and you will be reserved a place (pending availability) and issued with an entry pack containing with all the details you require, including cost, timings and structure.

  • Name
  • Club
  • Age Group(s)
  • Competition(s)
  • Mobile
  • Email Address

*Clubs are welcome to enter more than one team to the festivals should you have the numbers to do so. Please note, the festival age groups U7- U9 will be played under the new RFU Shaping the Game regulations. Regardless of whether your county has elected to implement these changes or not we still invite you to take part and develop your game with us and enjoy the benefits the festivals have to offer. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, this is based on receipt of your entry fee. The top eight teams from each age group will be invited to take part on the Saracens Alan Day Volkswagen Champions Event on Saturday 4th May prior to Saracens vs Bath at Allianz Park.

**Subject to change. Please note due to proposed additional pitch use on 24th March only the U9 final will be played on the Allianz Park pitch (this will however be at half time!).

Because our intention is to play the knock out stages of each event on the 4G Allianz Park pitch pre match, we strongly recommend that all those coming along this festival have a pre ordered match ticket to as everyone needs to be able to access the stadium. Suitable match tickets and car parking are only available when placing a group order via the community team following confirmation of your place. Neither parking or match tickets are available to purchase on the day of the event.
