Coach Education Programme

The Saracens Coach Education Programme is designed to aid coaches from Saracens Partner Clubs. Over the last few seasons Saracens have identified the need and demand for access to a high quality Coach Education programme across Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and the Barnet borough. The idea behind the programme is to continually provide club coaches and school teachers with increased knowledge and new ideas to make the standards and participation levels of as high as possible for players throughout the community. During 2014-15 the Coach Education Programme interacted and help facilitate the development of over 1600 coaches and teachers, providing them with new ideas implemented by the Saracens Academy and First Team.

Club Coach Evenings

With the 2014/15 season seeing over 30 partner clubs engage in a Club Coach Education evening and 10 Independent Schools engage with a session at Allianz Park, Saracens Rugby Development team will continue to grow these sessions for 2015/16. Club Coach Education sessions are a case of we come to you! we will spend and evening at your rugby club working with a range of age group coaches. We give the coaches participating a chance to take part in practical games and drills led by Saracens Rugby Development & Coach Education Manager, Lewis Sones, providing a foundation to develop individuals coaching techniques by showcasing the evening with fresh content and hands on experience.

Elite Coach Education

During the 2014-15 season Saracens provided the largest schedule for the Elite Coach Education Programme since its introduction in 2010. All evenings are held at Allianz Park Stadium. The sessions provide an insight into the workings to the game on and off the field, with some of the highest qualified presenters from across the sporting world.  The 2015/16 season to has covered the topics of, Concussion, How to Create Culture On & Off The Field, The Importance Of Movement, Identifying Talent and The Winning Parent. The evenings have previously be hosted by Saracens own senior coaches and players as well as highly regarded professionals from various sporting backgrounds including the below:

Saracens are currently putting together the programme schedule for 2015-16 to help develop both our partner clubs and schools by covering a range of new topics to provide the most insightful information possible to help grow the game.
