Coach Education Programme

After consultation with a number of Saracens partner clubs and partner schools, Saracens have identified the need and demand for access to a high quality Coach Education programme across Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and the Barnet borough. The idea behind the programme is to continually provide club coaches and school teachers with increased knowledge and ideas to raise the standards and participation levels of players throughout the community. During 2013-14 alone the Coach Education Programme interacted and help facilitate the development of over 1500 coaches and teachers.

Club Coach Evenings

With the 2013/14 season seeing over 33 partner clubs engage in a Club Coach Education evening, Saracens Rugby Development team will continue to grow these sessions for 2014/15. Coach Education sessions are a case of we come to you! and we will spend and evening at your rugby club working with a range of age group coaches. We give the coaches participating a chance to take part in practical games and drills led by Saracens Rugby Development Officer, Lewis Sones, providing a foundation to develop individuals coaching techniques by showcasing the evening with fresh content and hands on experience.

Don’t just take our word for it….

“I have to say it was a real privilege to listen and  watch the Academy squad at work in those surroundings and with interactive facilities. Brilliant.”  – Alan Culter Mini & Junior Coach Harpenden RFC

” I thought it was an excellent evening with a lot packed in to the time given but with loads of potential variables on the basis ideas to suit our needs.  To be honest it was about the best session I’ve been to for this type of thing so thanks a lot” – Marcus Reeves – Westcombe Park RFC

‘A very quick note to say a big thank you for tonight’s training session. There was a real buzz in the clubhouse after you left .
