São Paulo Saracens in Super 10 action


Global Network side São Paulo Saracens have been in Super 10 action recently, writes Henry Fraser.

The Super 10 Brazilian National Championship is as tournament made up of the best ten teams in Brazil and after finishing third in Paulista Rugby Championship São Paulo Saracens qualified for national tournament. The competition takes in nine round regular season league with semi finals and final to decide the overall winner.

Game one saw São Paulo Saracens open with a bonus point 54 - 26 win at home over Rio Branco. In a forward dominated contest, São Paulo Saracens won the game dominating the set piece and overpowering the Rio Branco side.

Last weeked,  São Paulo Saracens travelled away to play Farrapos only to come up short at the Estádio da Montanha in the Bento Gonçalves region of the country against a well drilled Farrapos side. All was not lost though as, São Paulo Saracens came away with a losing bonus point in what was a tight contest. Final score: Farrapos 27 São Paulo 20.
