Saracens chair - and the winner is ...

Place to Grow and Saracens Sport Foundation would like to thank all rugby fans that supported the Saracens Garden Chair raffle on Saturday 11th April.

We were able to raise £671 which exceeded all our expectations. In addition, Place to Grow were able showcase the work they do in the community and take orders for their garden furniture range which will add to this fantastic achievement.

The lucky winner was young Saracens fan Aidan Dire-Smith who watched a great Saracens victory and managed to add a unique Saracens piece to his family’s garden all in one day!

Robin Vicary from Place to Grow commented:

“Never have I met such a generous group of people as Saracens fans. My team and I were over-whelmed with the warmth. And I should mention that vast numbers of Tigers fans wished us well and 6 even bought tickets! We had a wonderful day – and incidentally raised £671 which will make an enormous difference to Place to Grow. Thank you to all you fantastic people."

Place to Grow is based in Mill Hill and supports young adults with learning disabilities to make quality garden furniture from recycled wood and provide long term employment opportunities for these individuals.

They will be working closely with the Saracens Sport Foundation in the coming months to support the development of the new Community Garden.
