British and Irish Lions secure series win
Saracens duo Owen Farrell and Mako Vunipola came off the bench to help the British and Irish Lions to their first tour victory in 16 years, as the Lions thrashed Australia 41-16, in a pulsating contest at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.
Farrell replaced try scorer Jonny Sexton in the 64th minute whilst Mako Vunipola replaced another of the Lions try scores, Alex Corbisiero three minutes later.
Saracens other British and Irish Lions representatives Matt Stevens and Brad Barritt roared on the team from the side lines, as Warren Gatland’s men secured a historic victory in Sydney.
