Jacques Burger will start at openside flanker tomorrow, when Saracens face Clermont Auvergne at Twickenham Stadium in the semi-final of the Heineken Cup, writes Henry Fraser.
“I’m feeling really good and I’m very excited to be involved” said Burger.
“We have a massive desire to succeed. We want to lift the cup but we know that Clermont are world class and we still have loads to do to get to Cardiff. We are confident but respectful of our situation and opponents. I just can’t wait to get going.”
On Clermont the Namibian said; “Clermont have dangerous runners, a big set piece and big occasion players. Since we last played them back in 2012 we have learned some valuable lessons – I feel we are playing some of our best rugby at the moment.
“We know our strengths and we work hard in every aspect of the game,” added the 30-year-old.
