Saracens are supporting the work of LIV, a South African children’s charity, by wearing the LIV logo on the right shoulder of their playing jerseys. LIV provides holistic residential care for vulnerable children, placing parentless children into a family environment where they receive unconditional love, care and nurturing.
John Smit, a LIV ambassador, said: “LIV do amazing work to provide urgently needed care for thousands of vulnerable children in South Africa. I am proud to be involved with the charity and it is fantastic that Saracens are supporting their work.”
Tich Smith, director and founder of LIV, added: “Saracens is well known and respected throughout the world, and it is a dream come true for many of us at LIV to be associated with the north London club. The awareness created by the LIV logo on the right shoulder of the Saracens jersey is hugely significant for us, and will support our work. The South African involvement with Saracens makes this a very special partnership for LIV and, on behalf every orphan and vulnerable child that calls LIV home, we are extremely grateful.”
