Sarries 'cock-a-hoop' with Nando's night

The Saracens squad kept up their hot performances as they took over Nando’s St Albans on Tuesday 29th April in aid of the Saracens Sport Foundation.

The players took some time off the field to raise some money for the Saracens Foundation by tucking into some Nando’s with supporters from across the area. The players took on the task of waiting tables, manning the tills and even the heat of the grill. They were also on hand all evening to sign autographs, pose for photographs and donated some great prizes for a raffle – including a unique prize of the Vunipola brothers’ mouthguards!

Saracens hooker Jamie George, a trustee of the Foundation, said “It’s been a great event and the boys have all enjoyed the chance to support the event. It’s definitely been a hard job for some of them to make sure the food made it to the tables! The Night has been a big success and helped raise a great amount of money for the Saracens Sport Foundation to help support it’s fantastic work with autistic young people and young people from challenging backgrounds”.

Sam Fulling, Foundation manager said "We had such a great turnout and it was a fantastic atmosphere. The players really got stuck in and I’m sure aren’t considering a change of career after the shift they put in. Thanks to everyone who came along and made the night such a big success.  "

The event raised a fantastic £5,000 which will ensure we can continue to deliver our much needed work with disadvantaged young people across Hertfordshire and North London.
