Sharks challenge motivates De Kock

Saracens South African international scrum-half Neil de Kock is predicting Saturday's clash against the Cell C Sharks will be a "massive challenge".

Saracens play The Sharks at Allianz Park on Saturday 25 January, kick-off 14h30, for the Sanlam Private Investments Shield.

“It is always going to be a massive challenge. We’ve got quite a few South Africans at the club so to come up against a Sharks outfit who are loaded with Springboks and current Springboks, it’s a massive challenge for us.”

The 10 times capped Springbok is keen to stress that it isn’t an occasion to prove a point but instead one to challenge himself.

“It is not a case of trying to prove yourself so to speak. I think its wonderful I haven’t played in South Africa for seven or eight years, it will be a great challenge.

“I'll be up against guys who were starting off when I was finishing in South Africa so it will be a great challenge. They will come over in their preseason and be very strong so hopefully we will be able to give them a good test and a good run out come Saturday.  It’s exciting to be playing against the old South African guys again,” added De Kock.

Tickets for the match are available at www.saracens.com.
