Saracens Storm were beaten 24-11 in a friendly against Nothampton Saints at Allianz Park on Monday afternoon.
The home side were outscored by four tries to one against a Saints side that included players such as Paul Diggin, Vasily Artemyev and Mark Sorenson.
Ryan Glynn gave the visitors the lead with a try against the run of play midway through the first half while Ben Spencer’s penalty put Sarries on the scoreboad to make it 3-5 at the break.
Spencer struck another three points after the home side dominated the opening 10 minutes of the second period, but further tries from Matt Williams, Howard Packman and Alex Wootton secured the win for the Saints. Justin Melck crossed the line for a consolation score for the home side.
