Centre Tim Streather says he is hoping to build on his two impressive performances in the LV=Cup, with the 25 year-old midfield maestro saying he is ‘hungry’ for more action.
“I’m just hungry to play as much rugby as possible” said Streather.
“I’m obviously aware that the guys who have been starting in the Premiership have done unbelievably well, so I’m under no illusions how difficult is is to break into the team. They’ve played well and we’re sitting at the top of the league – so it’s always going to be hard to break into a team that is performing so well.
He added;“Obviously you want to be having as much game time as possible, and this cup has given me the chance to play – it’s been fantastic”.
The former Nottingham star scored his first try for the club on what was his home debut, and he paid tribute to Saracens second half defensive display.
“It’s always nice to score” he said.
“It was a great all round team performance to be fair. I think we attacked very well in the first half but our defence wasn’t as tight as maybe we would have liked – we put ourselves under a lot a pressure in the first 4o minutes, but in the second half we came out a correct a lot of those mistakes and they didn’t get a point in the second half and everyone was extremely pleased with that.
“To get another five points is I guess all you can ask for” he added.
