Saracens winger David Strettle backed his team to bounce back against Connacht next Saturday, after Saracens were beaten by four-time Heineken Cup winners Toulouse 21-11 on Sunday.
“Obviously we’re all very disappointed with the result,” said Strettle.
“We must give credit to Toulouse, they played brilliantly and really made life difficult for us throughout the game. They got their noses in front and were tactically very good.
“We are frustrated but we now look forward to Connacht on Saturday and look to bounce back from Sunday. One thing this group has proven in the past is that we respond well to setbacks, so we won’t dwell too much on the defeat.
Saracens final game in Pool 3 is this weekend against Connacht, hoping to progress to the quarter-final stage for a third consecutive season.
“We will be facing a very dangerous side on Saturday” said the winger.
“Connacht have proven they are a force to be reckoned with in this pool and we’re looking forward to getting back to Allianz Park to face them,” added Strettle.
