Upbeat Saracens relishing Bath challenge - Goode

Saracens head into Sunday’s clash against Bath in a positive mood, says Alex Goode.

The Saracens full-back believes the club’s recent LV=Cup success has provided the north Londoner’s with momentum heading into what the 26-year old says is ‘an important game for both sides’.

Speaking ahead of the game, Goode said: “I think we’re in a really positive place at the club. It’s an upbeat place to be, especially after last weekend’s performance where the guys did really well to get to the LV=Cup semi-finals. It’s really pushed us on to put in a big performance this weekend.

“We are going into this game with confidence but we are obviously aware that Bath have been performing as well. They have a strong squad, and although they have some players missing Bath have some quality players coming into replace them."

He added: “Considering where we both are in the league, it is an important game. Every game is a very important game though, and every game matters, especially in the Premiership. It will be a massive clash, a really tough game in which small margins will be dictating where the contest is won and lost. It’s one we’re all looking forward to.”
