Saracens game at Wembley on Friday heralded a new record for the Community Team as an amazing 750 children danced alongside The Vamps as part of the half time show.
With children from schools, dance schools, Schools of Cheer from all across London taking part the opportunity had been spread far and wide. One dance group even made the trip over from Ibiza (Banana Dance Studios) just to be part of this fantastic opportunity! All performers had attended a specialist workshop to learn the routine, and had their own ‘Dance @ Wembley’ tshirts, sponsored by Community Partner Everyone Active. The dancers put on an impressive show for the crowd, performing their routine to The Vamps smash hit song ‘Can We Dance’, while Saracens Elite School of Cheer showed off their fantastic stunts in the middle of the pitch.
Clare Meeking dance teacher at Sandringham School summed up her students overwhelming experience “Thank you so much for last night, it was amazing and the students loved every second and said it was the best experience of their lives. We are definitely on for March.”
Whilst Alanna Thomson Hayes from Banana Dance Studios in Ibiza was equally enthusiastic “What a wonderful experience, we would never get something like this at home so felt we had to travel just to be part of it. The girls will remember this performance forever”
